Put Corner Bakery Cafe on Your Meal Rotation

Breakfast for lunch? Totally doable.

Plus, how to get free coffee for a year.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day — no one said when you had to eat it, though.

I am guilty of skipping breakfast every single morning, and that’s where Corner Bakery Cafe in Boca Raton comes in.

The cozy restaurant is located off Glades Road by the Town Center Mall, and customers can order freshly made food from the counter and enjoy their lunch break in a booth seat. Or, if you’re like me, you can drop in to pick up food and bring it back to nosh at your desk.

I’ve passed by the restaurant at few times and was happy to accept an invitation to stop by for breakfast with a coworker. The menu has breakfast served all day*, with scramblers, power flat breads, paninis, oatmeal and yogurt, and other favorites. I went simple with scrambled eggs, bacon, multi-grain toast, and fresh-cut fruit — with such a large serving, I had enough to save for a snack later.

If you’re a better person than me and actually ate your breakfast, then check out the lunch and dinner menus — fresh salads, soups, pastas, sandwiches (I had the Cuban sandwich) and combos.

The best part? All the dishes are less than $9.

Oh wait, there’s an even better part. To celebrate their fourth anniversary, on Jan. 29, the Boca Raton location, 2240 NW 19th St., is giving the first 100 people to the restaurant (they open at 7 a.m.) a travel mug — which entitles you to free daily refills of hand-roasted coffee for a year with any purchase.

* There’s VERY few items that are only served at breakfast, for the sake of saving up griddle space for lunch items. Understandable.
